Support to ‘Saving and Credit’ groups consisted of IDPs in
Sumgait

OUTCOMES & ACHIEVEMENTS:

124.8 million AzM were disbursed to the groups in the first stage;
-
119.2 million AzM of this amount were repaid till March
24’ 2003. Groups fully repaid their loans so far;
-
Based on the project principles and adopted charter, groups’ 2-month activity was
analyzed by the working team, and 29 groups were selected in the second stage;
-
These 29 groups were provided with 58.8 million AzM of loans. 32.3 million AzM of this amount were repaid by the groups till March
24’ 2003;
-
Members of the Community Committees, provided with the loans at the end of 2002 and beginning of 2003, were involved in “Community Mobilization” and “Long-term Community Action Plan” trainings organized in UMID’s Sumgait Office.
