EXPECTED OUTCOMES:

Mobilize new communities to improve local
community group capacity and socio-economic infrastructure as well as
provide access to services via the implementation of micro-projects;

Strengthen newly identified Star Communities
operational capability as well as linkages to local government
structures and previously mobilized communities by applying the Living
University concept to improve local community group capacity and
socio-economic infrastructure as well as services via the implementation
of micro-projects;

Adapt apprenticeship program to
youth-identified needs thereby enhancing appropriate marketable skills,
employment and income generation opportunities for youth and
communities;

Increase financial, institutional and
professional capacity of national NGO partners through training and
mentoring opportunities, including mobilization of new communities,
contributing to the sustainability of the CIP-initiated NGO
capacity-building initiative

Pilot the Consolidated Budget Competition in
selected Star Communities to determine viability and local support for
potential scale-up in rural and semi-urban pipeline impacted
communities.
