Two more communities – Karrar village and
Bargushad communities were provided with potable water
Kurdamir and Ujar regions, Azerbaijan,

On November 2, 2006 it is
intended to arrange ceremonies related with putting the Water Purifiers
into operation in Kurdamir region Karrar village and Ujar region Bargushad
communities.
The ceremony will be arranged within “Improvement of Potable Water
Provision” project implemented by “Umid” Humanitarian and Social Support
Center, Karrar village and Bargushad communities under financial support
of Baku/Tbilisi/Ceyhan (BTC Co.) and South Caucasian Pipelines (SCP Co.)
Partners.
Water used by Karrar village inhabitants will be purified and given to the
population in pure form through a modern water purifier installed by an
executive agency AquaZone, the winner of the bid and whereas the
inhabitants of Bargushad village will benefit by the water purified through
a water purifier installed by executive agency Aquatech – the another
bid winner.
Total amount of the project
implemented by Karrar village is 23 874 AZN, the community
contribution being 4193 AZN. Purchase of the facilities took 8129
AZN out of the total amount, whereas construction works were conducted
with the remaining 11 552 AZN out of the total amount.
Bargushad community’s project total amount comprises 34 417 AZN
including a community contribution at amount of 6396 AZN. Another
spending out of the total amount was related with purchase of the equipment
which comprised 12000 AZN. Construction works involved 16 021 AZN
– the remaining funds out of the total.
Quality of the water purified through water purifiers was analyzed by
MediClub Company, the purified water is in compliance with norms according
to findings of the Company.
“Aran-K” and “Gulshad-B” Limited Liability Societies registered in a
relevant unit of the Ministry of Justice will be responsible for further
management of and ensuring the sustainability exploitation of installed
Water Purifiers.
