Alternative
energy devices installed in two more communities
Akstafa, Tovuz region, June 28, 2007
On June 28, 2007, the
opening ceremonies of the demonstration projects implemented by the
communities on the energy sources use were held in Akstafa and Tovuz
regions.
The demonstration
projects were carried out within the frame of the project “Support to
Environmental and Energy Initiatives” implemented with the support from
Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan Co. (BTC Co.) and South Caucasus Pipeline Co. (SCP
Co.) Companies.
The total value of the project “Installation of solar panels over the
medical station” implemented in order to provide the medical station in
Girag Kesemen community of Akstafa region with hot water is 8200 AZN.
7850 AZN of this sum was paid by “Umid” HSSC and 350 AZN was
the community contribution.
The total amount of the project “Installation of Solar battery and Solar
panels over the Surgery department of village hospital” implemented in
order to provide village hospital in Ashagy Ayibly community of Tovuz
region with hot water and electricity is 19800 AZN. 19550 AZN
of this sum was paid by “Umid” HSSC and 250 AZN was the community
contribution.
The devices were installed by Solaris Ltd Company.
The representatives from BP and Regional Executive Power and neighboring
communities participated in the event.
