The
elevators of the hostel # 9 were eventually restored..

In February 25, 2005 there was held a ceremony devoted to completion of
the project Restoration of the elevators of the hostel #9” having been
realized by Doghru Yol community within Zykh Community Development
Initiative project being implemented by Umid Humanitarian and Social
Support Center under BP/ShahDeniz.
The restoration works of the project have been carried out by Baki
Elevator Qualified Production Department #2 .
The target group benefiting by the project realized according to a
contract concluded between Umid HSSC and Doghru Yol Community Activity
Group, are 481 residents of the hostel #9.
The general amount of the project implemented during a period of December
20, 2004 – February 21, 2005 covers 47 392 000 (forty seven million and
three hundred thousand and ninety two) Az. manats. According to terms of
the contract, division of the general amount of the project between the
parties, i.e. Umid HSSC and Doghru Yol community, is as follows:

The
amount of the fund granted by Umid HSSC – 44 387 000 (forty four million
and three hundred thousand and eighty seven) Az. manats.
-
The amount of the
fund (community contribution) paid by “Doghru Yol” community – 3 005 000
(three million and five thousand) Az. manats. 2 305 000 Az. mantas of the
contribution should be paid in cash.
The following restoration-repair works were undertaken within the
project:
-
The
doors of the elevators were changed;
-
The
cabins of the elevators were capitally repaired;
-
The
ropes of the elevators were changed;
-
Transformers were installed;
-
The
elevator cables were changed;
-
The
circuit for running was installed;
-
Motors were installed;
-
The
entrance of the building was painted;
-
Electricity lamps were installed in each floor.
The community contribution:
-
The
entrance of the building was repaired;
-
A
partition was built in the corridor;
-
An
old window was pulled down and a new one was built with airshaft;
-
A
door was installed in the corridor and painted;
-
Repair works were
undertaken in each floor.
The ceremony was
attended 60 persons representing BP ShahDeniz company, Umid HSSC, Communal
Department #133, Khatai region ExCom, Baki Elevator Qualified Production
Department #2, the hostel #9 and the other communities.
“To build is easy,
but to protect the built things is a difficult and resonsible duty”...
these words were sounded in each person’s speech who delivered a sheech in
the event, doubling the resonsibility of the residents of the hostel #9,
for protection of this charited work.

adolescents that acquired substantial basic skills on mobile phone repair,
beautician and barber via the Apprenticeship cource were awarded with
relevant certificates.
