The opening ceremony of two more Demonstration projects implemented by the communities held
Shamkir region, May 31, 2007

On May 31, 2007, in Deller Jeyir and Deller Dashbulag communities of Shamkir region, the opening ceremonies of the demonstration projects on the use of alternative energy sources and safety implemented by the communities were held:

• Deller Jeyir community – “Installing solar panels over the medical station and kindergarten”

• Deller Dashbulag community – “Installing solar panels over the medical station”

The demonstration projects were realized within the frame of the project “Support to Environmental and Energy Initiatives” implemented with the support of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan Co. (BTC Co.) and South Caucasus Pipelines Co. (SCP Co.) Companies.

31 430 AZN of the total amount of the project equal to 35 530 AZN under implementation in Deller Jeyir community was provided by Umid HSSC, and the community contribution equaled to 4100 AZN.

8100 AZN out of the total amount of the project equal to 8350 AZN under implementation in Deller Dashbulag community was paid by Umid HSSC, the community contribution was 250 AZN.

The projects realized in both communities were implemented by Solaris Ltd. Company.

The representatives of BP and Regional Executive Power and neighboring communities, the employees of the kindergarten and medical stations participated in the event.
