Exhibition
demonstrating handicraft of the young talents An exhibition demonstrating handicraft of the talented youth inhabited in Zykh area was organized in UMID’s Zykh Community Resource Center located within the Club of Culture of the Weaving Center named after H.Z.Tagiyev of Khatai region of Baku on 8th of April’ 2005. The exhibition was organized within the framework of “Supporting initiatives" component of “Zykh Community Development Initiative” project being implemented by “Umid” HSSC under financial support of BP/Shah Deniz. Goal of the projects realized by Zykh communities is to discover talent of the youth of the area, raising their self-confidence, and formation of inter-community integration. In difference from the exhibition demonstrating 16 years-old Arzu Ahmedova’s pictures arranged within the framework of Zykh Community Development Initiative project, this exhibition demonstrated work of several talented youth of Zykh including Arzu Ahmedova’s paintings. In the exhibition three young painters, i.e. Arzu Ahmedova, whose work was demonstrated in the past via the exhibition arranged under ZCDI project, two other painters - Alikhanov Gambar and Huseynov Javid, as well as sculptor Nabizade Orkhan and modeller Sabina Murshudova demonstrated their work on various spheres.
Young talents were provided with necessary materials, equipment and supply by “Umid” HSSC, which fostered organization of the exhibition. Members of 10 Zykh communities, representatives of BP/Shah Deniz and “Umid” HSSC, Khatai ExCom and Khatai region Education Department representatives, a representative from “Shakar Villasi” newspaper, teachers and classmates, family members and relatives, friends of young talents participated in the 2-day exhibition from 11.00 till 17.00 each day. During the exhibition young talents were awarded with the present and flowers by “Umid” HSSC employees.
