Repair works conducted in the
kindergarten # 315 were completed

On
March 24’ 2004 Umid Humanitarian and Social Support Center held the
opening ceremony on the completion of the project Restoration and repair
of water-sewerage system, kitchen, laundry and dish-washing place in the
kindergarten #315 situated in Zykh area.
The project was realized with initiative of Etimad Community within the
framework of the project Zykh Community Development Initiative being
implemented by Umid with the financial support of BP Shah Deniz.
463 persons including the kindergarten’s working collective, children of
the kindergarten and their parents direct target group benefiting by this
infrastructure project.
The general amount of the project implemented based on a contract # G-03
BPSD 53472/1/1-İP concluded between Umid HSSC and Etimad community in
September 16, 2004 , covers 66 556 500 Az. manats. According to
terms of the contract, division of the general amount of the project
between the parties, i.e. Umid HSSC and Etimad community, is as follows:

The
amount of the fund granted by Umid HSSC – 60 976 500 Az. manats.
-
The
amount of the fund (community contribution) paid by Etimad community – 5
580 000 Az. manats. 3 750 000 Az. manats of the contribution should be
paid in cash.
The following
restoration-repair works were carried out within the project:
-
Changing of the water pipe of 300m;
-
Changing of the sewerage pipe of 280m;
-
Draining of 500m3 water in the cellar, by blotting machine;
-
Making 250m2 Dutch tile and 95 m2 flooring tile, painting the ceiling,
installation of ventilation system in the kitchen, wash-place and laundry;
-
Installation of 5 wash-bowls, painting of the ceiling in wash-place;
-
Installation of a motor washing machine, a gas appliance in the laundry;
-
Changing 11 doors (90x205) and 22m2 windows.
Community contribution:
-
Carrying the materials to close distance;
-
Pulling down the old flooring tiles;
-
Gathering and carrying the wastes;
-
Pulling down the doors and the windows;
-
Cement works;
-
Scraping the walls;
-
Purchase of glasses;
-
Purchase of motor washing machine.
The
ceremony was attended nearly 50 participants including kindergarten’s
working collective, children of the kindergarten and their parents,
representatives from other communities, BP ShahDeniz reps, Umid HSSC
employees, and representatives of Khatai region ExCom and Khatai region
Education Department.
