The next Test Demonstration of the Energy Bus was arranged in Umid district  
Baku, Azerbaijan; March 01, 2005

Presentation of the Energy Bus and the next test demonstration was arranged in Umid settlement of Garadagh region under the request of BP on March 01’ 2005 in order to improve the project implementation. Test demonstration was organized within the framework of Effective Usage of Energy Resources by communities and Improvement of Access to Alternative Energy Sources project. The project is being financed by BP, OSCE and International Finance Cooperation (IFC).

The visitors were provided with the following information during the demonstration:

• Information about the project and donors;

• Information about the structure of the Bus;

• Safety information;

• Information about the corners within the Bus and models.

Besides all above-mentioned, working models of the solar panel and sawdust heater were demonstrated outside of the Bus.

67 people representing the community members, local ExCom and World Vision representatives participated in the demonstration.

Information about the insulation works, effective usage of the energy, structure, usage and technical indicators of the sawdust heater, structure and technical indicators of the solar panel were provided during the training delivered to 9th-10th classes of the school #294.

Moreover,insulation works were conducted in the houses of two inhabitants of the settlement, i.e. Zulfiyya Bakhshiyeva and Tamasha Gurbanova, and they were provided with the insulation materials.
