Winners of a drawing and article
contest held on “Environment, Energy and Safety” were awarded
The 16th of February, 2007. Yevlakh town
On February 16, 2007 a ceremony was arranged for awarding the winners of
the drawing and article contest arranged on “Environment, Energy and
Safety” in Yevlakh region.
The contest was arranged among schoolchildren of Agdash and Yevlakh
region, within the project “Support to Environment and Energy Initiatives”
under financial support of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) and South Caucasian
Pipelines Partners.
The contest conducted on education component of the “Support to
Environment and Energy Initiatives” project implemented by “Umid”
Humanitarian and Social Support Center, aims at development of the
schoolchildren’s knowledge and skills as well as the world scope on
environment, safety and energy.
113 articles and 87 drawings were introduced from 12 secondary schools of
Agdash and Yevlakh regions on “Environment”, “Enegyi” and “Safety”.
Drawings and articles introduced to the contest were evaluated, and as a
result 30 schoolchildren were awarded with different valuable and
encouraging presents.
The schoolchildren who won the leading I, II, III places were awarded with
computer, vide-camera and photo-cameras.
The Event was attended by representatives of BP Exploration Ltd., Shakar
Villasi Newspaper’s Editorial Office, Yevlakh region Education Department,
as well as schoolchildren, parents and teachers from Aghdash and Yevlakh
regions communities.
